Counting Down....

Including today I have just 15 days left to finish the never-ending-ever-growing Twirly Skirt for Linnea's 6th Birthday...Did I mention like a triangular shawl the thing grows and grows so it has become little bit of a slugfest on the last color stripe?

And as promised, the masochist that I am (TMTIA), I did add a picot edge which required an additional seven more rows to fold up for the hem...and then there's the I-Cord to do...

I've apportioned two days on Color Stripe B, four days for Color Stripe C, and eight days for Color Stripe D, and...wait a minute...I guess I'm pulling some late nighters...

As it now stands, I'm on the the front panel now and just into my second Color Stripe...pray for me...

Mmmmm...cheez...burr...gerrr

A still life of my plate post cheeseburger...Totally unscripted - just how my plate ended up after last morsel was eaten...I'm going to make it my avatar, I think...Someone say, CHEESE!

Shhhh...I have a secret...

My daughter's birthday is fast approaching and I'm working on a special, of course - knitted, present for her (for me, whatever!)

Our course it's stealthly disguised as a sweater for the little man but how she doesn't pinpoint the non-boy colors is... well, oh so Linnea...

It's a stripey skirt from Barefoot Knits Twirly Skirt by Christine Schwender & Paula Heist found on Ravelry....if I can squeeze in the matching tank top, I will...

Here is a version by Applekor from Ravelry....

I'm thinking: add an elasticated waist and picot trim to the bottom for "fun"...

Mine is decidedly soooo in the works...picture to follow soon...

You know when life has a way...

of getting busy...No matter my intention, I'm just someone who has a hard time keeping up with the friends I want to talk to and catch up with...Social media (for the time being anyway) is something I have a hard time flowing with...I truly wish I could sit down long enough to add an entry or two on my Facebook page...Thanks for the friends so persist on getting me to log on at the very least!! You know who you are....

Anyway...for the moment a few pics of works come and done since June 2009...Hopefully, the break in between will be much shorter...

My norwegian mitts

Nepheid Tam Tam...I believe those are turnips worked around with sprouting leaves up above...my first fair isle work...believe it or not, it was fairly quick and easy...how I do love charts...I wish I could love lace though - I really do!

Current works in progress include:

Socks for The Big Man (i.e. Paul)

AND in the planning stages for...a sweater for Rufus (placket neck and MANLY) and a skirt/sweater set for Linnea....
