OK...Here we go...I know my blog is supposed to be all about my knitting adventures but how does one have adventures when one's knitting can be so methodical...
I am increasing learning to become more thrifty and less consumptive (with the exception of blank notebooks and journals - I've tried and tried but I'm hopelessly addicted - anyone else!). And for some reason, this is the area of my life where I am more or less able to say "One at a time." I more one project at a time more or less (two max!) and I AM HAPPY ABOUT IT...Of course, I am in a manic state when I finally have something off my needles...I need my next fix N-O-W...I literally feel queasy, as if the world is off it's tilt, until I get something on them...I walk around bumping into walls, stare past my husband with my mind flipping through my rolodex of What's-Coming-Next
I guess those who "multi - knit" as in multiple projects at once don't experience this....The benefits of this for me are...1) a very manageable stash and 2) learning restraint and discipline (for the first time in my life...Like Slow Food this is my Slow Knit...
Here are my latest Slow Knit...my first BSJ with homage to Mr. Flood...
For those who drool over Mr. Flood's photos and would like to have an inkling how he does it...He has left a few tips on how to showcase your knitting on David Reidy's Sticks and String podcast, Episode - Jared Flood..a interesting listen on how he got started...
